Mayfield Church of England Primary School is situated in the heart of this picturesque East Sussex village.
We are lucky enough to have a wide school community and villagers often volunteer to help in school to support our endeavours. There are strong links with St. Dunstan's Church, which the children visit regularly for special assemblies and church services.
Currently there are approximately 173 children in the school. Children are well behaved, well motivated and enjoy coming to school. The school population reflects a wide range of ability and pupils reach high standards of achievement by the time they leave us. Achievement is above national standards at both key stages.
We have just taken the step to become a one form entry primary school, there has been building work over the summer holidays to incorporate our new classroom. Everyone is very excited to begin the new school year with 7 classes.
